UK Government planning to bring back Post Study Work for International Students

On 7th June Home secretary, Sajid Javid has accepted the clause in the immigration bill to reimburse Post Study Work option in the UK for International Students.

Javid told an event in London organized by the thinktank British Future –  “I want to see more international students come to our country. If they’re coming here, studying in our great universities, if they want to work afterward we should make it easier for them to stay and work, and not say, you’ve got to go back home, just for the sake of it. We need a more positive attitude toward this. I think the country would welcome this.” You can view the full article at ft.com and The Guardian.

This is a much awaited and welcoming news for International Students who wish to study in the UK and gain work experience. Compare to other countries UK’s education always remains on the heights and this decision to bring back Post Study Work (PSW) to recognized Universities will help the UK to attract more students. This would encourage UK companies to use the knowledge and experience of foreign students. The students can gain work experience and improve their skills from the UK. This would also get the doors open for Management / IT students looking forward to starting a business in the UK in the future.
